We are not a government agency
RoadReturn is an independent website. We are not a government agency, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for any state DMV, BMV, DPS, Secretary of State, motor vehicle commission, court or insurance company.
We cannot process, renew or reinstate a license, file an SR-22 or FR-44, pay a fee, or change anything on your driving record. Only the official agency, the court or your insurer can do that.
General information, not advice
Our pages explain how SR-22 and FR-44 requirements and license suspensions work in each state. They are general information for drivers, not legal or insurance advice. We are not a law firm, attorneys or insurance agents, and using this site does not create any professional relationship.
Always check with the agency
We base each state page on the state’s statutes and the official agency’s own pages, and we show the date we last verified them. Rules, fees and processes still change, and how they apply to you depends on your record and your court order.
Before you make a decision or pay anything, confirm the details with:
- your state’s motor vehicle agency (DMV, BMV, DPS or equivalent);
- the court that handled your case, if there was one;
- your insurance company, for anything about filing or coverage;
- a licensed attorney in your state, if you need advice about your case.
Each state page links to the official sources we used, so you can check them directly.
Ads do not mean endorsement
RoadReturn is free to read and is funded by ads served by Google. Google chooses which ads appear; we do not pick individual advertisers. An ad on our site, including an ad for an insurer or a law firm, does not mean we recommend or endorse that company. Advertisers have no influence over what we write. See our Editorial Policy.
External links
We link to official and other outside sources. We are not responsible for their content or availability, and a link is not an endorsement.
Errors
If you think something on the site is wrong or out of date, please email contact@roadreturn.com with the state, the page and, if possible, the official source. Full terms are in our Terms of Use.
